Indian Market: Sensex at new peak at 43,680.30 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Wednesday was at a new peak at 43,680.30, up by 402.65 in opening session as buying was witnessed across the board amid strong global peers.

The Nifty of National Stock Exchange too rose by 127.25 pts to 12,758.35.

The sectoral indices especially Finance, Health Care, Industrials and IT boosted the same.

The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 43,708.47 and 43,347.64 pts respectively.

The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 12,769.75 and 12,616.60 respectively.

The Mid Cap moved up by 0.93 and Small Cup by 0.72 pc respectively.

In 30 scrips 23 advanced while 7 declined.

The gainers were Bajaj Finance by 4.93 pc to Rs 4416, M& M by 3.12 pc to Rs 639, Bajaj Finserv by 2.84 pc to Rs 6877, Kotak Bank by 2.64 pc to Rs 1799.15 and Sun Pharma by 1.88 pc to Rs 500.90.

The losers were IndusInd Bank by 1.89 pc to Rs 819.30, Titan by 0.97 pc to Rs 1292.35, Hind Unilever by 0.95 pc to Rs 2118.20, Asian Paints by 0.50 pc to Rs 2188.75 and Powergrid by 0.24 pc to Rs 185.50.
