| @indiablooms | Jul 16, 2022, at 11:55 pm

New Delhi/UNI: The latest development regarding India's first bullet train project is that the National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd (NHSRCL) issued a ‘Letter of Acceptance’ to Mitsubishi Precision Company for design, manufacturing, supply and commissioning of training simulators of bullet trains.

The contract is valued at Rs 201.21 crore and the time period for the supply of the simulators is 28 months.

The simulators will be used for training purposes in the HSR Training Institute of Mumbai, and the Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor (MAHSR) in Vadodara, Gujarat where a sample track is already installed for training.

The training simulators will help the drivers, conductors, instructors and train/rolling stock maintenance staff to understand the driving theory of high speed trains, popularly called bullet trains.

"It shall be possible to conduct training for single driver, single conductor, as well as collective training of driver, conductor and despatcher together," NHSRCL said.

As per the statement, two types of simulators shall be installed in the training institute at Vadodara under the scope of this package
