ICICI Bank organises coin exchange mela at Nagpur

Nagpur, July 29 (IBNS): ICICI Bank Ltd, a private sector bank, organised a coin exchange mela at the headquarters of ‘Nagpur District Chemist and Druggist Association’ at Gandhibagh. It was held under the aegis of the Reserve Bank of India.

Avinash Chand, Assistant General Manager, RBI, inaugurated the event.


The Bank periodically organises coin exchange melas to offer free facility of exchanging acceptable soiled and mutilated currency notes with fresh currency and coins to the general public. They are much-awaited events that receive overwhelming response from people from all walks of life. Anyone can avail of this facility free of cost.

The coin mela at Gandhibagh saw participation of close to 200 people. They exchanged coins worth Rs. 25 lakh in the denomination of Rs.10, Rs. 5, Rs. 2 and Re.1. 

ICICI Bank has 4,450 branches and 13,766 ATMs in the country (as on March 31, 2016). It has over 650 branches and more than 2600 ATMs in Maharashtra along with 12 fully automated ‘Touch Banking’ branches which are available 24x7 on all days.
