ICICI Bank organised Six Coin Exchange Melas in Jharkhand

Ranchi, July 7 (IBNS) ICICI Bank Ltd, India's largest private sector bank, organised six Coin Exchange Melas at its various branches in Jharkhand during June 2014. The melas were conducted in line with the guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India.

These melas were organized at its branches in Ramgarh, Ranchi, Hazaribagh, Jamshedpur, Deoghar and Dhanbad  in Jharkhand.

The Bank periodically organises Coin Exchange Melas to offer a free facility for exchanging acceptable soiled and mutilated currency notes with coins to the general public and is a much-awaited event that receives an overwhelming response from people from all walks of life.

The melas saw participation of more than 180 customers, where the branches exchanged coins worth nearly Rs. 14 lacs in the denomination of Rs.10, Rs.5, Rs.2 and Re.1.

ICICI Bank has over 3,753 branches and extension counters and 11,315 ATMs spread across the country (at March 31, 2014). It has over 40 branches in Jharkhand.
