Housejoy rolls out iOS app
The move was made close on the heels of the completion of its series B funding amounting to INR 150 crores from a consortium of investors including Amazon.
Housejoy has gained popularity with its services among android users across metros and now aims to build a stronger presence on mobile by including IOS users to its consumer base.
Knowing fully well that the country has almost 50,00,000 iOS users Housejoy believes it is the duty of a Home service provider to be accessible to potential consumers on all platforms.
The notable features of the app lies in the fact that it has a customized design for IOS. Its native experience provides a faster and lesser friction experience compared to the mobile website.
Speaking about the launch, Saran Chatterjee, CEO at Housejoy said, “The tremendous response we received from our android users has been an inspiration and has pushed us further to enter the iOS platform and widen our user base. By and large we look forward to tap into the iphone users and provide them with a robust and seamless experience.”
Launched in January 2015, Housejoy has been growing at a rapid pace on a month-on-month basis and is currently fulfilling more than 4000 orders a day. It has received about 100,000 plus downloads on its android platform and receives about 40% of its orders from android users.
