Honda launches road safety awareness drive

New Delhi, Jan 14 (IBNS): Starting 'National Road Safety Week 2015' on a positive note, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) has kick-started its nation-wide road safety awareness initiatives to ride home the message of road safety to people across India.

Spreading road safety awareness across India, Honda conducted Safety Riding Pledges along with its 815 dealers, 1325 sub dealers, 1150 authorized service centers, 3 manufacturing plants, 11 zonal offices, 5 regional offices to mark the National Road safety week 2015.

A massive drive saw 25,000 people take Road Safety Pledge and 10,000 more learn riding at riding trainers deputed at prime locations across cities in just one day.

From North to south, Honda conducted various activities like training and seminars on Road Safety followed by a “Road Safety Quiz” and a “Safety Slogan competition” for customers.

In Bhopal, a mega 2 day road safety has started while the massive safety rally in Bhubaneswar saw heavy turnout from over 250 customers.

In the national capital Delhi, Honda felicitated 2023 Delhi females who learnt two-wheeler riding at its traffic parks in Roshanara Bagh and Baba Kharak Singh Marg (New Delhi) in 22 days.

From 18 year old college students to 60 plus home-makers and working women – Delhi females gave huge thumbs up to Honda’s unique ‘Dream riding’ initiative learnt riding in just 4 hours. The felicitation ceremony at Baba Kharak Singh marg traffic park, saw massive turnout of hundreds of females from Delhi.

Honda also installed riding training stimulators all over the country to increase safety awareness amongst masses. Customers were also educated on ‘First Aid’ delivery besides relevant topics like Safety tips for pedestrians & Do’s and Don’ts for Cyclists.

Elaborating on Honda’s efforts on National Road safety week, Yadvinder S. Guleria, Vice President-Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said, “Promoting road-safety is a continued commitment for Honda. The national traffic safety week is an excellent avenue to amplify our voice and reach-out to more and more people. Honda and its business partners are promoting road-safety with full vigor and enthusiasm; as well as to general public, who has joined hands with us to make our roads a safer place.”
