California, Jun 3 (IBNS) Facebook co-founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg on Wednesday chatted live with astronauts stationed at the International Space Station through Facebook live.

NASA astronauts Jeff Williams and Tim Kopra, and British astronaut Tim Peake answered question related to various things asked by Facebook users and Zuckerberg himself.

This was Facebook's maiden use of their Facebook Live feature in space.

The astronauts discussed their experiences as a rookie in space.

"As a rookie astronaut on my first flight, there were so many new experiences," Peake said.

"The training is phenomenal, and we have a wonderful training team all around the world, in all our international sites. It's the real experience of launching in a Soyuz rocket, seeing that first orbit of planet Earth going through a sunset, seeing a moonrise, seeing a sunrise — you can't put into words how beautiful a planet is from up here," he added.

They also spoke about the use of language for communication with other astronauts.

Astronauts use English and Russian to communicate, while a mix of the two, which is still relatively new is used at times.
