Entries open for 2015 India SEOY Awards

Mumbai, Apr 14 (IBNS): The Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, a sister organization of the World Economic Forum, in partnership with the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation is pleased to announce the opening of entries for the much coveted 2015 India 'Social Entrepreneur of the Year'(SEOY) Awards.

The applicants are evaluated on key parameters of innovation, sustainability, reach and social impact.The applications will be accepted till May 31.

Finalists will be selected followingan intensive search and selection process, including expert reviews and site visits. The winner will be announced at a high-profile award eventin New Delhi.

The winners of the ‘Social Entrepreneur of the Year’ India 2015 Awards will join the global community of Schwab Foundation Social Entrepreneurs, and will participate in the annual and regional meetings of the World Economic Forum, which provides unprecedented opportunities to engage with global decision makers from the public, corporate, media, academic, and civil society sectors.

SEOY has established itself as the prestigious event in India with a legacy of over 14 years.

H Sudarshan of Karuna Trust, the winner for 2014 India Social Entrepreneur of the Year, was awarded by Arun Jaitley, Minister of Finance, Corporate Affairs and Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, ata well-attended ceremony in New Delhi.

The winners are selected by a prominent Jury consisting of eminent professionals from different walks of life.
