Consumer Inflation touches 3.66 pct

New Delhi, Sept 14 (IBNS) The country's Consumer inflation dropped to 3.66 per cent in August, official data released on Monday said.

In July the figure stood at 3.69.

"Provisional indices for the month of August 2015 and also the final indices for July 2015 are being released with this note for all-India and for State/UTs. All-India provisional General (all- groups), Group and Sub-group level CPI and CFPI numbers for August, 2015 for Rural, Urban and Combined are given in Annexure I. The General Indices (Provisional) for the month of August 2015 for Rural, Urban and Combined are 126.1, 123.1 and 124.7 respectively.  The CFPI for Rural, Urban and Combined for the same month are 129.8, 131.4 and 130.3 respectively. The inflation rates of important categories of items are given in Annexure II," read a government statement.
