Adani Group shares rise as Gautam Adani becomes Asia’s richest, overtakes Mukesh Ambani

Mumbai/IBNS: The list of Asia’s richest individuals has witnessed a reshuffle, with Gautam Adani overtaking Mukesh Ambani to claim the top spot, media reports said.

Adani Tops Asia Rich List

The shift comes after Ambani held the position of Asia’s richest person for several years.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Adani’s net worth stands at $92.6 billion, surpassing Ambani’s $90.8 billion.

Among World’s Richest

Both Adani and Ambani continue to feature among the top 20 richest individuals globally.

Impact on Adani Group Stocks

The development had a positive impact on Adani Group stocks on Friday.

Shares of Adani Power rose nearly 1%, Adani Gas gained around 2%, Adani Green Energy increased by 0.44%, and Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone climbed 1.6%.
