New Delhi, May 20 (IBNS): Spirits company Allied Blenders and Distillers Pvt. Ltd on Tuesday announced that it has achieved sales of 25 million cases in FY '14.

ABD grew at an exponential rate of 24 percent in FY’14 while the IMFL industry grew by 2 percent over the same period.

ABD has grown at a CAGR of 20 percent over the last 5 years which makes it one of the fastest-growing spirits companies in India. The company’s marquee brand, Officer’s Choice Whisky grew by 14 percent in FY’14 taking its market share to 32% of the regular whisky segment, the company said in a statement.

ABD’s semi-premium whisky brand, ‘Officer’s Choice Blue’, crossed sales of 3.5 million cases. The brand registered a robust growth of 156 percent whereas the semi premium whisky segment by 19 percent over FY’14.

After the stupendous success of Officer’s Choice Whisky and Officer’s Choice Blue Whisky, the company has recently launched OC Black, a semi-premium-plus whisky in West Bengal and Delhi to offer its consumers a never-before whisky drinking experience.

ABD’s premium brandy ‘Kyron’, launched a little over a year and half ago, has generated substantial traction with 20 percent and 13 percent market share in Andhra Pradesh and Kerala respectively.

Today ABD is multi-brand company with its presence in most categories within the spirits industry (i.e. whisky, rum, vodka and brandy). The portfolio of brands also includes Jolly Roger Rum, Lord & Master Brandy, Class 21 Vodka and Wodka Gorbatschow.
