Youth murdered for illicit relation

Kolhapur, May 25 (UNI): A 30 year-old man was murdered on late Friday night after being hit by stone at Bhendvade village in Hatkanangale tehsil of this district for having illicit relation with a woman.

According to Peth-Vadgaon police, the deceased identified as Laxman Ganpati Atulkar (30), resident of Shirgaon in Walva tehsil in Nebhouring Sangli district had a feud with Pradeep Sonule following his illicit relation with his mother. Last year also Laxman was arrested for murderous attack on Pradeep in this connection and the deceased was on bail.

On late Friday night, Laxman came at Pradeep's residence and demanded to withdraw case against him which racked up a quarrel with Pradeep. Irate Pradeep threw chili powder on Laxman's eyes and hit him with a stone which killed him on the spot.

The city police have arrested Pradeep and further probe is on.
