Youth loses life while recording a video near floodwaters

Darbhanga, July 26 (UNI): A youth drowned while recording a video allegedly for TikTok here in the district.

The video has now gone viral on social media, according to police.

Providing details, police said that three youths were recording a video in the floodwater when one of them was swept away by swirling water near Lala Chaur under Keoti block area in Darbhanga district. The deceased, identified as Afzal, was a native of Adalpur village under Sadar block area in the district. The two other youths are also from the same village.

A team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) recovered the body of Afzal after one day of the incident.

Darbhanga district magistrate Thiyagrajan SM appealed people to keep themselves away from floodwater and also do not perform any stunt in it. He also advised guardians not to allow their children to come close to flood water and take a bath in it.
