Yang Jiechi calls on PM Modi
Yang Jiechi conveyed the greetings of President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang to Prime Minister.
Yang Jiechi also briefed the Prime Minister on the preparations for his upcoming visit to China.
The Prime Minister outlined his vision for closer India-China relations and the significance of the India-China bilateral relationship to the region and the world.
Recalling the visit of President Xi Jinping to India in September 2014, Modi expressed hope that his visit to China will have concrete outcomes and take the relationship to a new level. Prime Minister said that he is looking forward to meeting President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang in China.
Yang Jiechi and Ajit Doval also briefed Prime Minister on the 18th Round of Talks between Special Representatives of China and India on the Boundary Question, held on Mar 23.
