Patna, Sep 24 (The Bihar Post/IBNS): A woman in Bihar allegedly hacked a man to death when he attempted to rape her while she was asleep in her house.

The incident took place at Ninga village under Barauni police station in Begusarai district on late Friday night.

Reports quoting the local media said a man entered her hut late last night and tried to rape her.

The woman was alone at home with her three little children as her husband works elsewhere.

Reports said the woman raised an alarm and cried for help but no one responded. Eventually she picked up a meat cleaver and hacked the attacker to death.

The accused was a fourth grade railway staff working in Gorakhpur.
