Why are Congress leaders making personal attacks on my mother and father: Narendra Modi says in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal, Nov 25 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said the Congress party has no issues so they are preferring to attack him by dragging in his parents’ names in election rallies.

Modi said he never made personal attacks or targeted any person's family.

"We never make any personal attacks on anyone's family. We criticized the post they held. But why are Congress leaders making personal attacks on my mother and father," Modi said while addressing an election rally in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh.

Modi was referring to Congress leader Vilasrao Muttemwar's recent remarks where reportedly said that the world knows about Rahul Gandhi’s parents but no one knew about the PM's father.

The Congress leader reportedly made the remark during an election meeting in Rajasthan.

Modi, while addressing a public rally in Vidisha, said: "Congress party has never contested a poll on the ground of development."

He said: " Congress is destroying the democracy with its dynastic politics."

Modi said people could witness the difference CM Shivraj SIngh Chouhan has brought in the state during his rule.

"Compare the 55 years of misrule of Congress versus 15 years of good governance in Madhya Pradesh under Chouhan ji's leadership. You can see the difference," he said.

The single-phase assembly election will take place in the state on Nov 28.
