West Bengal: Two persons arrested with dead chicken in Baruipur

Baruipur(West Bengal)/UNI: Two people were arrested in the bypass area of Baruipur police station in South 24 Parganas district while transporting dead chicken in a small matador on Friday night.

Dipankar Dhara and Monirul Sheikh, both residents of Sonarpur, were intercepted by traffic police and a sack packed with dead chickens was found in their vehicle, police and local sources said.

They were coming from Suryapur area of Baruipur, police said.

The duo spoke incoherently when questioned about the dead chicken.

The traffic police then informed Baruipur police station, after which police arrived and arrested the two men and seized the matador.

The arrested men were produced in Baruipur court today.
