Kolkata/Birbhum, Feb 27 (IBNS): A crude bomb explosion in a house killed at least two men and left another injured on Saturday at Shibpur village under Lokpur Police Station area in West Bengal's Birbhum district.

According to reports, when few miscreants were making bombs inside the house, one crude bomb suddenly went off and two men- Dinu Bauri and Srinath Bauri- were killed in the incident.

Meanwhile, Birbhum SP Mukesh Kumar told IBNS, "One man was killed and another was injured in a low intensity explosion in a house at Shibpur village under Lokpur Police Station area. Few others, involved in this case, are absconding. We have started investigation into the matter and searching for others, including the owner of the house."

Locals and oppositions alleged that Trinamool Congress (TMC) activists were making those bombs to use in the election.

However, local TMC leaders denied their involvement in the matter.
