WB: Suspected Maoist arrested from West Midnapore

Kolkata, Aug 14 (IBNS): Police on Friday arrested one suspected Maoist with arms from Salboni area in West Bengal's West Midnapore district.
West Midnapore SP Bharati Ghosh told IBNS: "We have arrested one suspected Maoist- Biren Chalok from Penchapara area at Salboni in West Midnapore district. We have seized 3 landmines, 3 firearms, 21 round bullets and few Maoist posters from his house."
 
"Police have started investigation into this case and we are interrogating him," she added.
 
He will be produced in the court on Saturday.
 
Meanwhile, as many as 10 Maoist posters were found from Narkeldanga Road and Maniktala Main Road crossing area under Narkeldanga Police Station in Kolkata on Friday morning and two low-intensity explosives were recovered by the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) from a bus at Fulbari area in Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal on the same day.
