WB municipal polls: Six booths to go for re-polling on Tuesday

Kolkata, May 15 (IBNS): Despite the opposition's demand for a re-poll in all wards due to the violence witnessed on polling in several booths on Sunday, the state election commissioner of West Bengal, AK Singh, declared that six stations will go to re-polling on Tuesday, according to media reports.

The six booths where re-polling will take place are from two municipalities, Pujali in South 24 Parganas and Domkal in Murshidabad.

On Sunday, several booths of the poll bound constituencies were affected due to the violence, which the opposition parties claimed to have been carried out by goons of the ruling party, Trinamool Congress.

The result of the seven municipalities, which are Darjeeling, Mirik, Kurseong, Kalimpong, Raigunj, Domkal and Pujali will be out on Wednesday.
