New Delhi: An Indian Army Captain, Renu Tanwar, died by suicide after the death of her husband, Indian Air Force Flight Lieutenant Deendayal Deep, in Agra, media reports said.

She was found hanging in a room at the Garuda Sharat officer's guest house in Delhi's Army Cantonment on Tuesday, reported NDTV.

A suicide note discovered at the scene mentioned her desire to be "cremated hand-in-hand" with her husband, according to the report.

Delhi Police stated that the incident likely occurred between the night of October 14 and 15.

Deep, a native of Bihar, was posted at the Kheria Air Force Station in Agra, the report said.

According to reports, Deep’s body was found hanging in his residential quarters at the Air Force station.

The day before his death, he had spoken to colleagues during dinner and showed no signs of distress.

The following morning, when he did not leave his room, his colleagues entered and found him hanging. No suicide note was recovered.
