Voting in four parliamentary, ten assembly seats underway

New Delhi, May 28 (IBNS): Voting in four parliamentary and ten assembly seats across ten states of the country is underway on Monday.

The four parliamentary constituencies are Bhandara-Gondiya and Palghar in Maharashtra, Nagaland in Nagaland, Kairana in Uttar Pradesh.

The ten assembly constituencies include Palus Kadegaon in Maharashtra, Noorpur in Uttar Pradesh, Jokihat in Bihar, Gomia and Silli in Jharkhand, Chengannur in Kerala, Ampati in Meghalaya, Shahkot in Punjab, Tharali in Uttarakhand and Maheshtala in West Bengal.

The by-poll in Kairana parliamentary constituency of Uttar Pradesh has assumed significance as the opposition have united to defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The counting of votes will take place on Thursday.
