Agartala, Mar 3 (IBNS): The counting of votes in outgoing Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar's Dhanpur constituency has begun after it was stopped for four hours, media reports said.

The counting was stopped after the BJP workers demanded a re-counting in the constituency.

Sarkar is leading by a margin of 4000 votes presently.

The BJP has ended the 25-year long Left rule in Tripura as the poll results came out on Saturday.

The BJP has secured 43 seats in contrary to Left's 16 seats.
