Vladimir Putin will not personally attend G20 summit in New Delhi: Kremlin

New Delhi: Russian President Vladimir Putin will not personally attend the G20 summit to be held in New Delhi in September, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday.

The announcement came after the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued an arrest warrant against Putin accusing him of "war crimes" in Ukraine.

"The main emphasis now is a special military operation" the official Tass news agency quoted the Kremlin spokesman as saying.

The format of Putin’s participation would be determined later, Peskov said.

India is the host country of G20 Summit, which will be held on September 9 and 10 in Delhi.
