Viresh Kumar Bhawra appointed as Punjab DGP
Chandigarh: The Punjab government has appointed Viresh Kumar Bhawra as the new Director General of Police.
He is a 1987-batch Indian Police Service.
The Punjab Police tweeted: "Sh. Viresh Kumar Bhawra, IPS assumes charge as Director General of Police Punjab."

He took charge as the new DGP at a time when Punjab is gearing up to vote for a new Assembly.
