Vijaywada: Three persons arrested on charges of snatching gold chains from women

Vijayawada, Apr 27 (UNI) Police arrested three persons on charges of snatching gold chains from women, at Railway Traction Coaching Centre in SN Puram here.

Police seized gold chains and ganja from their possession.

Police in a statement here on Saturday said that they conducted checking of vehicles on Friday. On noticing the police, the three accused Sk.Basha, Pathan Rehmatullh and Sk.Afjal, who were going on a bike, tried to flee from the area.

The police who noticed them fleeing from the place arrested them.

Police seized gold chains worth Rs.2 lakh and Ganja weighing 4.5 kg from them. The accused were bringing Ganja from Narsipatnam in Visakhapatnam district in bulk and selling here in small sachets.
