The lawmakers cast their votes for the polls on Saturday.

According to media reports, 771 of 785 votes have exercised their franchise when polling closed at 5 pm.

Voting began at 10am and will conclude a 5pm.

NDA backed Venkaiah Naidu and Opposition's joint candidate Gopal Krishna Gandhi are in the fray for the Vice President election.

Former Governor of West Bengal, Gopal Krishna Gandhi, was nominated by the 18 opposition parties as their candidate for the V-P poll.
