Veteran BJP leader LK Advani admitted to hospital

New Delhi/IBNS: Veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Lal Krishna Advani was on Saturday admitted to the Apollo Hospital in New Delhi, media reports said.

Advani's condition is now stable.

The former deputy Prime Minister has been kept under observation.

The reason behind his hospitalisation is yet to be known.

Advani was the seventh deputy Prime Minister of India from 2002 to 2004.

One of the founding leaders of the ruling BJP and a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the 97-year-old was also the Home Minister of India and a recipient of Bharat Ratna.
