Uttar Pradesh: Son beats his 60-year-old father to death, arrested

Bulandshahr: A 60-year-old man was beaten to death by his son allegedly over a petty dispute in Shikarpur town of Bulandshahr district here in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, a senior officer said here.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shlok Kumar said that Chetan (30), a resident of Muftibara locality, used to fight with his father Rajpal very often. "On Tuesday morning around 6 am Chetan attacked his father Rajpal with a stick and assaulted him brutally leading to his death," he said.

He said that after killing his father Chetan tied the body in a bundle, locked the house and escaped from the spot.

"The police which reached the spot after getting the news reached the spot and arrested Chetan from 12 Khamba road," he said.

The SSP said that the body has been sent for postmortem examination.
