Uttar Pradesh: Road mishap leaves three people dead in Basti

Three persons were killed when a motorcycle was hit by an unidentified vehicle in Chhavani area of Basti district here in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said on Sunday.

Police sources said that the incident took place when Subedar Yadav (45), Virendra (23) and Maniram Nishad (35) were returning from Ayodhya late on Saturday night. "Near Phooldeeh village on Gorakhpur-Lucknow national highway their motorcycle was hit by an unidentified vehicle," they said.

Police sources said that the trio, who sustained serious injuries, were taken to the hospital where doctors declared them dead.
