Uttar Pradesh: Man killed by nephew over minor dispute in Bahraich

Bahraich: A 45-year-old man was killed by his nephew with a sharp-edged weapon allegedly over a minor dispute in Nanpara area of Bahraich district here in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said here on Sunday.

Police sources said that Harishchandra, a resident of Tepra Baghauli village, had a dispute with his nephew Sanjay over a petty issue on Saturday night during which the latter threatened him with dire consequences.

"Late night Sanjay slit Harishchandra's throat and beheaded him," they said.

Police sources said that Inspector Hemant Kumar Gaur, along with the police, reached the village after getting the information.

The Inspector said that the body has been sent for postmortem examination.

He said that Sanjay has been taken into custody and was being questioned.
