Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shlok Kumar said that Tejpal Verma, a resident of Devipura locality, works as a security guard.

"On Sunday night Tejpal shot his wife Sushila dead with his licenced rifle while she was talking to her relative over phone," he said.

He said that the deceased's son Himanshu Verma (18) has lodged a case against his father Tejpal.
