Uttar Pradesh bypoll: Dimple Yadav set for mammoth Mainpuri victory

Samajwadi Party leader Dimple Yadav has taken a huge lead in Mainpuri Lok Sabha constituency, where byelections were held, media reports said.

Dimple, the wife of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, has taken a lead of over Rs. 2 lakh from its nearest rival Raghuraj Singh Shakya, who is from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

BJP candidate Kedar Prasad Gupta is leading in the Kurhani assembly seat by-poll.

Congress is leading in both Sardarshahar (Rajasthan) and Bhanupratappur (Chhattisgarh) assembly segments.
