Allahabad, Sept 4 (IBNS): A retired police officer succumbed to injuries he sustained during an attack by two men in Uttar Pradesh's Allahabad, media reports said.

The incident was caught on CCTV.

In the video footage, Abdul Samad Khan, the victim, could be seen riding a bicycle when a man in a red shirt starts to strike him with a stick.

Soon another person joins the first attacker, leaving Khan clueless.

The 70-year old victim was taken to a hospital where he had later died.

The Allahabad police said initial investigations suggest a property related dispute with relatives.

Ten people have been named in the First Information Report (FIR). However, no one has been arrested yet.

The main accused is believed to be Junaid, who has 10 criminal cases against his name at the local police station.

Khan retired from Uttar Pradesh police in 2006.
