UP CM Adityanath visits gang-rape victim

Lucknow, Mar 24 (IBNS) : Uttar Pradesh: Chief Minister Adityanath Yogi on Friday visited a gang-rape victim, who also suffered a a vicious acid attack, media reports said.

The 35-year-old woman is undergoing treatment at the  Trauma Centre of King George Medical College in Lucknow.

The woman was attacked while she was travelling in a  train from Rae Bareli to Lucknow.

Along with CM, DGP Javed Ahmed and women welfare minister in Yogi’s cabinet, Rita Bahuguna Joshi were also present at the hospital.

The CM reportedly asked the  DGP to expedite the investigation and bring the culprits to book.

The  CM has also provided a financial help of Rs 1 lakh to the woman.
