UP: 2 killed, 1 injured as 2 trucks collide in Bahraich

Bahraich/UNI: Two people died and one was injured when two trucks collided in Hardi area of Bahraich district in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, police sources said.

Police sources said the incident took place on the Chahlari Ghat bridge when a truck coming to Bahraich collided head-on with another truck in the early hours of Wednesday.

"Truck driver of the truck coming from Moradabad Anwar (28) and its cleaner, Mohammad Tahir (20), were killed in the incident," they said.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Pravitra Mohan Tripathi said the driver of the second truck, Majid Ali, was injured in the incident.
He said the accident led to a traffic jam on Bahraich-Sitapur Road, which was cleared by 9 am.
