Unknown gunmen kill cop in Kashmir

Srinagar, Aug 18 (IBNS): Unknown gunmen shot dead Jammu and Kashmir policeman in Tujar area of Sopore town in North Kashmir on Tuesday, officials said.

According to reports, armed Guerrillas targetted the policeman from point blank range resulting in the death of him.

The cop has been identified as Fayaz Ahmad IRP 13BN and  he was reporedly posted at Shrine in Tujar Village .

This attack comes after five months when militants killed six persons in Sopore town.

Soon after the incident, Police, Army and CRPF  rushed to the spot and cordoned the area to nab the attackers.
