Union Home Minister to go on a three-day visit to Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Thursday

New Delhi, Apr 5 (IBNS): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh is visiting the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands for three days, starting Thursday.

During the visit, the Home Minister will meet the Lt Governor and senior officers of Andaman &Nicobar UT Administration.

He will lay a wreath at the Martyr’s column in the National Memorial, Cellular Jail, Port Blair.

On Friday, the minister is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for a solar power plant at Guptapara village.

He will also lay a wreath at the grave of Late Bishop John Richardson at Mus Church.

The Home Minister will lay a wreath and also view the gallery at Tsunami Memorial, Car Nicobar.

Union Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate the new building of a Senior Secondary School at Malacca in Car Nicobar and hold meeting with Tribal Council captains and other tribal leaders at Malacca.

He will pay a visit to Ross Island and witness the Light and Sound show there.

He will also attend a civic reception accorded by the Port Blair Municipal Council.

On the last day of his visit, the Home Minister will pay a visit to Havelock Island.
