Union Home Minister approves lease of BSF land for three Kendriya Vidyalayas

New Delhi, Oct 8 (IBNS): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has approved the providing of three acres of land, belonging to the border Security Force (BSF), on lease to the Kendriya Vidyalayas.

The land are present in  Sunderbani (J&K), Chakur (Maharashtra) and Aradhpur (West Bengal).

"Presently, Kendriya Vidyalaya at Station Head Quarter, BSF Sunderbani (J&K) has started functioning from October 16, 2010 upto XIth standard. BSF, Chakur (Maharashra) school started on September 01, 2010 upto VIIIth standard whereas the Kendriya Vidyalaya at Aradhpur (West Bengal) started on April 26, 2011 upto VIIIth standards," read a government statement.

BSF had requested for the approval of this land by the Ministry of Home Affairs so that the Kendriya Vidyalayas running at the three BSF locations as approved by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, New Delhi can have its own school buildings.

Singh has approved the transfer of three acre land on lease basis to each of the above mentioned three Kendriya Vidyalayas so that the children of the BSF personnel can get better facilities in their schools.
