ULFA(I) released Assam's BJP son

Guwahati, Sept 9 (IBNS) : Paresh Baruah alias Paresh Asom led ULFA(I) on Friday released Kuldeep Moran, son of a Assam BJP leader who was abducted on Aug 1.

The Arunachal Pradesh Police on Friday rescued Kuldeep, son of a Zila parishad vice-president from a dense forest area along the Arunachal Pradesh-Myanmar border after more than a month.

Kuldeep Moran, the son of Tinsukia Zila parishad vice-president Ratneshwar Moran also a BJP leader and close with Sadiya BJP MLA Bolin Chetia, was abducted from Nampong in Changlang district in Arunachal Pradesh.

A top police official of Changlang district said that the police team rescued Kuldeep from a cliff in a dense jungle around 10 km from Longvibasti village bordering Myanmar on Friday afternoon.

ULFA(I) had demanded Rs 1 crore ransom to release Kuldeep.
