Two NCC Cadets from Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh selected as Indian Air Force Cadets, set to join Air Force Academy

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) Directorate of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh proudly announced the selection of two talented cadets, ex-Cadet Aakriti Sharma of 1 J-K Girls Battalion and ex-Cadet Pulkit Ratra of 2 J-K Boys Battalion NCC, who have been chosen to join the esteemed Indian Air Force as cadets.

The aspiring cadets are expected to commence their training at the Air Force Academy in July, the upcoming month.

Cadet Aakriti Sharma, who successfully completed her NCC training in 2020, has left a remarkable trail of achievements. She notably represented the NCC Directorate of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh in the Republic Day Camp - 2019 and participated in the Youth Exchange Programme held in Maldives.

Additionally, she had the privilege of attending the Para Basic Course training at the prestigious Para Troopers Training School in Agra.

Cadet Pulkit Ratra completed his NCC training in 2022 and has also displayed commendable dedication and prowess. He received specialized training at the DGNCC SSB Coaching in Delhi, underwent attachment at the renowned Indian Military Academy in Dehradun, and actively participated in the E-Cultural Exchange Programme with fellow cadets from Singapore.

Expressing their gratitude, both cadets acknowledged the unwavering support of their families, friends, and mentors.

They also attributed their success to the invaluable training received through the NCC, which played a pivotal role in shaping their discipline and character. Their experiences in the NCC motivated them to pursue a career in the Armed Forces.

The achievement of these exceptional cadets was applauded by the Additional Director General of JK&L NCC, Major General RK Sachdeva, who extended his heartfelt congratulations to both individuals for their remarkable feat.
