Two knocked down by train in Andhra Pradesh

Eluru/UNI: Two people were knocked down by a train at CRR College here in Andhra Pradesh on Friday, railway officials said.

The deceased were identified as Golla Venkataramana (42) and Abbadasari Babu Rao (26).

According to Railway SI Chandrasekhr, Golla worked as a driver at the APS RTC and was addicted to liqour.

He left his house telling his wife that he was going to commit suicide, after a quarrel.

Another deceased was a neighbour to Golla. He noted that Golla was running on the railway track to commit suicide and went to save him.

When they were grappling on the track, a speeding train knocked them down fatally.

The bodies were shifted to the government general hospital, the official added.
