Two CRPF personnel killed in Kashmir militant attack

Srinagar, July 13 (IBNS): Two CRPF jawans were killed in a militant attack on Friday in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district, media reports said.

Militants opened fire on a CRPF convoy at Achchabal Chowk in which both the security personnel were injured. A civilian was also wounded in the attack.

Reports said the militants fired for over ten minutes before escaping the spot.

The jawans succumbed to injuries in a hospital.

The area has been cordoned off by security personnel and a search operation has been launched to track down the terrorists.
