Hyderabad, Mar 16 (IBNS): A Telugu television anchor committed suicide by hanging herself at a paying guest hostel in Sindhi Colony in Secunderabad on Wednesday, reports said.

Nirosha was 23. She had hosted shows on Gemini Music channel.

According to reports, she made a Skype video call with a friend outside India and even threatened suicide  during an argument while she on the call.

Her friend called a friend in Hyderabad for help.

Nirosha, however, was found dead in the hostel.

''What provoked the suicide is not yet clear,'' Ramgopalpet's police station-in charge Mohd Waheeduddin told NDTV.

A case has been registered in connection with Nirosha's death.
