Trivendra Singh Rawat to take oath as Uttarakhand CM today
On Friday, the BJP MLAs elected Rawat as their leader.
Rawat will be sworn in as Uttarakhand Chief Minister at Dehradun's Parade Ground.
Rawat, 57, was elected to the state Assembly from Doiwala constituency as he defeated Congress's Hira Singh Bisht by a margin of over 24,000 votes.
Rawat, a Thakur leader, who is said to be close to RSS, the ideological mentor of BJP, was among the frontrunners for Uttarakhand CM's post.
He is also known for his proximity to BJP chief Amit Shah.
