Tripura government announces to donate Rs. 1 crore for Kerala flood victims

Agartala, Aug 21 (IBNS): The Tripura government on Tuesday announced donating Rs. 1 crore for relief work in flood-hit Kerala.

The announcement was made by Tripura CM Biplab Kumar Deb.

Deb tweeted: "Tripura Government shall contribute Rs. 1 crore for #floodrelief activities in Kerala. The people of #Tripura stand with the people of Kerala in this hour of crisis. #TripuraStandsWithKerala."

More than 200 deaths have been reported from Kerala since flood hit the southern state.

At present, nearly nine lakh people are staying in relief camps.
