| @indiablooms | Feb 08, 2023, at 09:15 pm

New Delhi: The All India Trinamool Congress on Wednesday staged a protest against the BJP-led government at the Centre over the Adani Group issue.

Member of Parliaments of the TMC including Saugata Roy , Mahua Moitra and Derek O'Brien held the demonstration outside a SBI office here.

The MPs holding placards shouted slogans against the Government over the matter.

"Investigate Adanigate," read one of the placards.

Meanwhile, the party in a tweet wrote,"Our MPs staged a protest outside the SBI Office in New Delhi, against this attempt to steal from the poor and feed the rich!."

"SBI is the largest custodian of public money in India.

Yet BJP is trying to jeopardise this institution," the TMC said.

Several Opposition parties including Congress and TMC have been demanding to the Centre to either constitute a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) or set up an

inquiry under the Chief Justice of Supreme Court to look into the Hindenburg Research report, which alleged that Adani Group had engaged in stock manipulation and accounting fraud scheme over the course of decades.
