Guwahati/UNI: As many as 15 trains have been cancelled by Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) due to the anti-CAB protests that have been going on in Assam.

Another nine long-distance trains have been short-terminated.

In view of disruptions in train movement due to picketing in many places, (several) passenger carrying trains have been cancelled / short terminated / originated,” an NFR release said here.

Among the cancelled trains are several intercity expresses, as well as long distance trains.

Point of origin of a few trains have also been changed, the release added.
