Three women die in road mishap in Bihar

Chhapra, May 25 (UNI) At least three women were killed when a jeep ran over them under Nagra police outpost area in Saran district today.

 

According to police, the jeep driver lost control over his vehicle due to high speed and hit three women on roadside near Arwa Kothi village on Nagra-Jalalpur Road.

The women got severely injured in the accident and were admitted to Chapra Sadar Hospital where they lost their life while undergoing treatment.

The deceased have been identified as Rita Devi (57), Bedamo Devi (55) and Ramapati Devi (60) as they were going to worship to various temples on foot after some marriage.

The deceased were natives of Arwa Kothi village.

The jeep driver made good his escape after the accident. Bodies have been sent for autopsy.

Police are trying to nab the jeep driver, police added.
