Srinagar, July 22 (IBNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday said three terrorists, who were involved in the killing of constable Saleem Shah, have been shot dead.

The police said bodies of three terrorists with their arms were recovered from the encounter site.

Shah was abducted by terrorists and killed in South Kashmir's Kulgam area.

Speaking on the killing of the terrorists, Jammu and Kashmir Police chief SP Vaid tweeted: "3 bodies of terrorists recovered with three weapons so far from encounter site."

Earlier, he had tweeted: "Terrorists group that tortured our colleague CT Mohd Saleem of Kulgam & killed him brutally are all trapped in an encounter with J&K Police/Army/CRPF in Khudwani Kulgam."

The constable was undergoing training in Kathua and was on leave.

Following reports of his abduction, a manhunt was launched by security officials on Saturday.

This comes only a month after a soldier was kidnapped and killed by terrorists in south Kashmir while he was on his way home to celebrate Eid.
